Police charge woman with over 50 drug related offences - Strike Force Fernhurst

A woman will face court today charged with over 50 drug-related offences following an investigation in the state's Central West.

In August 2021, officers attached to Central West Criminal Investigation Team established Strike Force Fernhurst to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Parkes area.

Following inquiries, officers arrested a 50-year-old woman at a supermarket in Parkes about 7am yesterday (Thursday 14 October 2021).

With assistance from the Dog Unit and Central West Proactive Crime Team, a search warrant was executed at the woman's unit on Welcome Street, about 9am.

Later that morning, a second search warrant was executed at a storage facility allegedly used by the woman on Station Street, Parkes.

During the searches, investigators seized, eight cars, a motorbike, car parts, cannabis and drug paraphernalia. The items will undergo further examination.

The woman was taken to Parkes Police Station and charged with 52 counts of supply prohibited drug and two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

She was refused bail to appear at Parkes Local Court today (Friday 15 October 2021).
