Police civilian employee charged - Specialist Command

A civilian employee of the NSW Police Force will face court in relation to alleged assault and sexual touching matters.

Following an investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, the employee, who is attached to a Specialist Command, was arrested yesterday (Wednesday 28 August 2019).

The 52-year-old man was charged with intentionally sexually touch child (between 10 years and 16 years) and common assault.

He was granted strict conditional bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 18 September 2019.

The man has been stood down from duties while his employment status is under review.
