Police employee charged - Specialist Command

A police employee has been charged with high-range drink-driving after a crash on the state's Central Coast.

About 8.15pm on Friday 3 February 2023, officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District were called to Lakedge Avenue, Berkley Vale, after reports of a crash.

The driver, a 59-year-old woman, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing, where she allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.217.

The police employee, who is attached to a specialist command in the Northern Region, was issued a Court Attendance Notice for high-range PCA to appear in Wyong Local Court on Wednesday 26 April 2023.

The woman's licence has been suspended.
