Police Extend Geo-Search for Missing Child at Lake Illawarra

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a boy missing from the Lake Illawarra region.

Mason Simpson, aged nine, was last seen in Corkwood Street, Albion Park Rail on Thursday (29 February 2024), and is believed to be in the company of his father, Leon.

It is believed they might be in the Goulburn area and may be driving in a black Ford SUV with NSW registration CA-51-CB.

After failing to attend school for a number of days officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District were notified on Tuesday (5 March 2024) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his young age.

Mason is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 140cm – 145cm tall, of medium build, with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have seen Mason or the vehicle or has information into his whereabouts is urged to call Lake Illawarra Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
