Police investigate armed robbery at Albany Creek

Brisbane West detectives are investigating after the occupants of an Albany Creek home were robbed by three males, one armed with a firearm.

Shortly after 10pm three males entered the Allawah Street home and threatened the occupants before stealing cash and fleeing.

One of the males discharged a firearm into the air in the front yard after a teenage boy from the house had run after them.

No one was injured.

Multiple police units attended, including the dog squad and Polair, however it is believed the males entered a vehicle parked nearby and fled the scene.

Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation is asked to contact police.

All three are described as Caucasian and were wearing masks.

One of the males was wearing black clothing.

A second male is described as having an overweight build, tall, wearing a white jumper, dark jeans and carrying a firearm.

The third male is described as having a thin build, tall and wearing a black jumper, cargo / work pants and black boots.

Police believe there is no on-going threat to the community and investigations are on-going.
