Police investigate armed robbery at Virginia

Police are investigating after a man robbed a business in Virginia this evening before leaving with a sum of money.

At about 8pm, a man has allegedly entered a business on the corner of Nixon Lane and Toombul Road in Virginia and threatened a staff member with a firearm.

The female staff member cooperated with the man before he left in an unknown direction with a sum of money.

Police attended the scene and commenced patrols with the assistance of dog squad and Polair which were unsuccessful.

Police are seeking anyone who may have seen the incident or a man leaving the area just after 8pm to come forward and contact police.

No one was injured in the incident and investigations are continuing.
