Police investigate assault in Bundoora

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after two men were assaulted at a tram stop in Bundoora on 8 January.

Investigators have been told the pair were exiting the tram on Plenty Road about 12.30am.

It is believed three people confronted the pair, then punched and kicked one of the victims several times.

The 27-year-old Mill Park man was transported to hospital with head and facial injuries.

The other victim, a 24-year-old Mill Park man sustained minor injuries.

The offenders ran from the scene and were last spotted on McKimmies Road.

Investigators have released images of three men that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

They are described as being aged in their 20's and perceived to be Caucasian in appearance.

Detectives are also keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage.
