Police investigate child approach at Wagga Wagga

Police are appealing for information after reports of a child approach in the Riverina region yesterday.

About 6.45pm (Monday 11 January 2020), three teenage girls were walking along Fernleigh Road, Glenfield Park, Glenfield Park, when they were approached by a man driving a sedan.

Police have been told the spoke to the girls – aged between 14 and 15 – before offering them a lift multiple times and blowing them kisses.

The girls declined and returned home to notify their parents.

The incident was reported to police and an investigation commenced by officers from Riverina Police District.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Indian or Asian appearance and was wearing a white shirt at the time.

Police are also appealing for anyone who may have seen a Ford Falcon Sedan XT (FG series) with black rims and a white registration plate in the area around the time of the incident, to come forward.
