Police Investigate Deer Park Armed Robbery And Thefts

Brimbank Divisional Response Unit officers are investigating and appealing for public assistance after an armed robbery and a series of thefts from a bottle shop in Deer Park.

Investigators believe the group of male offenders have attended the bottle shop on Ballarat Road at least seven times since 21 October.

On one occasion four male offenders entered the cool room and removed several slabs of premixed spirits from the shelves about 8pm on 31 October.

The group left the cool room, one of the males brandishing a knife, walked past the counter and made threats towards a shopkeeper.

The males stole the alcohol and fled on foot.

No one was physically injured.

On at least six other occasions the same offenders stole 6-packs, slabs and bottles of alcohol.
