Police investigate enter with intent at Coomera and Logan

Investigators are looking into whether two separate break ins at a Gold Coast tobacconist and Logan Village bottle shop this morning may be linked.

Shortly before 1am, three masked offenders forced their way into the Oakey Creek Road business at Coomera where they damaged a number of cupboards inside the store before stealing a quantity of cigarettes.

It's believed they then fled in a vehicle.

Less than an hour later, a group of masked thieves forced their way into a Logan Village bottle shop by smashing a glass door.

Once inside the store they removed a number of alcohol bottles before accelerating away in black SUV along Logan Street and then left onto Albert Street.

The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from a Gowan Road address at Calamvale on the morning of December 29

Investigations into both incidents continue.
