Police investigate Glen Waverley assault

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was spat on in Glen Waverley last month.

Investigators have been told a woman entered a Springvale Road store and put an electric toothbrush in her bag and attempted to leave the business without paying about 6.50pm on Friday 11 September.

A shop worker intercepted the woman and retrieved the toothbrush before she left.

The woman has come back into the store a short time later and abused the shop worker before spitting on him. The offender then left the store again.

She is perceived to be Caucasian, 25-35 years old, long dyed blonde hair and solid build.

The woman wore a mask and had her hair tied up when she first visited the store but when she returned to the shop she was not wearing a mask and her hair was untied.

Police have released images of a woman, who has a distinctive neck tattoo, they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
