Police investigate incidents in Prahran

Police are investigating three separate instances of the same male following women in Prahran.

The first incident on 5 October an unknown male approached a 51-year-old woman inside a supermarket on Wattle Street about 10am.

He started a conversation with her, asking repeatedly if she would 'go out with him' before following her to a nearby market on Commercial Road where the woman managed to get away.

The second incident on 7 October just after 10am, it's believed the same male followed a 24-year-old woman from the same supermarket on Wattle Street to the nearby market on Commercial Road before she managed to get away from him.

The third incident on 18 November about 10.30am, the same male followed the woman from the first incident into the market on Commercial Road.

He followed her up some stairs and loitered around before the victim noticed he was still there and told him to leave.

He approached her before she told him the police had been called and he fled on foot.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
