Police investigate motorbike and trailer theft

Police are investigating following the theft of two motorbikes and a box trailer in Epping on Saturday.

Investigators have been told the victim parked his white Mitsubishi van out the front of a store on Cooper Street, near the intersection of Gateway Boulevard about 2.45pm.

The box trailer was attached to the vehicle which contained two motorbikes, a yellow Suzuki dirt bike and an orange and blue KTM motorbike.

When the victim returned to his vehicle a short time later the trailer had been removed from the vehicle.

Police have been told a white Ford Falcon AU utility or similar with a silver tray was seen with its hazard lights on parked next to the victim's vehicle and trailer.

A male, described as Caucasian in appearance and aged in his 20s, with a solid build and wearing an orange hi-vis vest, beige shorts, tanned boots was seen removing the trailer from the victim's vehicle before hooking it onto the ford and driving away.
