Police investigate Prahran burglary

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred at business in Prahran earlier this month.

Investigators have been told a man entered the Chapel Street store just after 8pm on Tuesday 1 December.

It is believed he inserted a key or other implement to open the front door of the store.

Once inside, he stole a small amount of cash from the register at the front of the store and left on foot heading north on Chapel Street before being seen on nearby Commercial Road.

He is described as 170cm tall and was wearing a dark coloured jumper, dark coloured trousers with a baseball cap and black runners.

CCTV has been released of the man in the hope that someone recognises him and can provide information to investigators.
