Police investigate Rowville burglary

An alert motorist got dash-cam footage of a man allegedly running from a burglary on a Rowville home last week.

The incident occurred on Timbertop Drive when the home owner returned home and found a man in the backyard on 22 October at 5.30pm.

The man ran from the address after allegedly stealing a camera and a quantity of jewellery from inside the home.

The victim alerted her neighbour who took off in pursuit of the burglar.

As they ran along the street a man sitting in his car asked the neighbour what was going on.

After being appraised of the situation, the man drove his car alongside a walking track and managed to get dash-cam footage of the burglar.

Knox Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images and footage of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
