Fawkner Divisional Response Unit officers have released CCTV in relation to a non-fatal shooting in Roxburgh Park in January.
It's believed an older-model white Toyota Camry was driving up and down Lockwood Drive for around 30 minutes on 20 January at 6.30am.
The male driver is then seen to point a firearm out the front passenger window and discharge two rounds toward an address on Lockwood Drive at 7.07am.
The vehicle then took off at speed southbound.
A bullet was found to have struck brickwork next to the garage of a home on Lockwood Drive, the other penetrated a bedroom window and became lodged in a wall where the occupants were sleeping at the time.
The male and female occupants were not physically inured.
Investigators have released CCTV and images of the incident in the hope someone may have information.
