Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Sandhurst.
Emergency services were called to an address in Wodalla Avenue about 11.40pm on Saturday 3 December after reports of an assault.
A woman was located deceased at the premises and a teenage boy was located with a head injury.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police arrested a man in his 40s at the scene and he is currently assisting officers with their enquires.
At this stage investigators believe the parties involved were known to each other.
