Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision in Seaford.
Investigators have been told a south bound vehicle crossed over onto north bound lanes and collided head-on into a vehicle just after 6.30am.
The driver and sole occupant of the north bound car died at the scene.
The driver of the south bound vehicle was arrested by an off-duty member at the scene before being conveyed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Lanes in both directions on Nepean Highway are blocked from Eel Race Road and Station Street while police attend to the scene.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are currently en route to the scene.
