Police investigate serious assault at Deepwater

A man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man at Deepwater early this morning.

Around 3am, a 52-year-old man attended a Maude Hill Road property and confronted two other men, aged 54 and 51.

The two men were allegedly stabbed by the 52-year-old man after a physical altercation took place.

A 54-year-old man sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries to his arms and was transported by air to hospital. The 51-year-old man also received hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries to his legs.

A crime scene was established at the scene as investigations into the incident took place.

A 52-year-old man has since been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding. He is expected to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on January 17.

It is believed the three men were known to each other.
