Police investigate Yarra Promenade assault

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an alleged assault which resulted in a man suffering a broken leg in Melbourne earlier this month.

Officers have been told the victim, a 20-year-old man from South Australia, was walking along Yarra Promenade about 1am on 8 May.

He was approached by three men and an altercation occurred.

Police have been told the victim was rendered unconscious and broke his leg as he fell to the ground.

Investigators have released images of three men they believe may be able to assist them with their enquires.
