An investigation is underway following a serious crash near Newcastle yesterday afternoon.
About 5.35pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 November 2025), emergency services were called to the intersection of City and Brunker Road, Adamstown Heights, following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Newcastle City Police District attended and found a motorbike and five vehicles were involved in a collision.
The rider of the motorbike – a 17-year-old boy – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The passenger of the motorbike – a 14-year-old boy – was treated at the scene before he was taken to the same hospital in a stable condition.
The five drivers were uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced by the Crash Investigation Unit.
