Police investigating after man stabbed - Macquarie Fields

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in Sydney's south-west last night.

About 8.10pm (Monday 1 June 2020), emergency services were called to a house on Hyacinth Avenue, Macquarie Fields, following reports a man had been stabbed.

A 23-year-old man was treated on scene for multiple stab wounds to his back, before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have been told the man was walking between Simmos Beach and the Hyacinth Avenue residence when he was stabbed by an unknown number of offenders.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
