Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a hit and run collision which occurred in Kingsville this evening.
Emergency services were called to Geelong Road about 7.15pm on 15 February after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.
The car, believed to be a silver Toyota Corolla and now with a damaged/missing passenger side mirror, did not stop at the scene.
The pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit are currently on scene and are assisting local investigators.
