Police Investigating Robbery At Hope Island

Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating a robbery at Hope Island on Friday, 17 April.

Around 8.20pm, a man was inside his Parkway address when it is alleged an unknown male offender entered the home through the front door.

It will be further alleged the offender, armed with a table leg and wearing a face covering, demanded jewellery before striking the occupant to the legs.

The offender allegedly stole a bracelet, a gold ring, and a sum of cash before leaving the scene in a grey Audi Q5.

The 65-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the Audi in the Hope Island or Sanctuary Cove areas between 8pm and 9pm, or who may have relevant vision, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
