Police investigating shooting incident at Bowen Hills

Queensland Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot at Bowen Hills, in Brisbane's north this afternoon, July 29.

Initial investigations indicate around 2:45pm, at least one person approached the front door of a Tufton Street address before they presented a firearm and shot a resident inside.

The offender then fled the area in a vehicle.

The male resident was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

Investigations into locating the vehicle and its occupants are ongoing, however, police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident or may have dashcam/CCTV vision to contact police.
