Police Investigating Wounding At Bokarina

A man has been charged following an alleged wounding incident at Bokarina last night, 6 March.

It will be alleged about 7.50pm, a 31-year-old Minyama man approached an ATV on Nicklin Way and threatened the driver, a 32-year-old Burnside woman, before directing her to drive.

A short time later, the 31-year-old man exited the ATV, allowing the 32-year-old woman to flee.

She was not physically injured.

It will be further alleged, about 8.10pm, the 31-year-old man has entered a Peacock Crescent address threatened a number of people with a weapon and stole a quantity of alcohol before fleeing on foot.

No one was physically injured.

It will be further alleged, that around 8.15pm, the 31-year-old Minyama man attended an address on Orchid Place, where he allegedly wounded a 38-year-old Bokarina man and a 42-year-old Palmview man.

The 38-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening puncture wounds to the head and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The 42-year- old man sustained minor injuries to his hand and was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The 31-year-old Minyama man has since been charged with 13 offences, including seven counts of threatening violence - discharge firearms or other acts, two counts of enter dwelling and commit and one count of assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is expected to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today, 7 March.
