Police Investigating Wounding At Perth CBD

Perth Detectives are seeking the public's assistance with information as they investigate an incident that occurred in Perth on Friday, 31 July 2026.

About 11.15pm, a group of males, believed to be known to each other, became involved in an altercation outside a café near Brookfield Place on St Georges Terrace.

During the incident, it is alleged a man aged in his 30s was stabbed in the back.

About 11.50pm, the victim arrived at the Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department in a white Toyota Corolla hatchback. Two males assisted the injured man into the Emergency Department before immediately leaving the area.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and underwent emergency surgery at Royal Perth Hospital. He is now in a serious but stable condition in the State Trauma Unit.

Investigators are seeking anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the white Toyota Corolla hatchback, or has CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam vision from the St Georges Terrace area between 11pm and midnight on Friday, 31 July 2026, to upload their vision via the following link: https://wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/seriousincidentstgeorgestterrace
