Police launch fresh appeal to locate man missing from Narrabri

Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing in the state's north-west.

Nathan Markl, aged 31, was last seen around 10.30pm on Wednesday 7 July 2021 in Goobar Street, Narrabri.

Officers from Oxley Police District were notified the following day and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Nathan's unoccupied vehicle was found parked near the bridge along Narrabri Creek, off Maitland Street.

A search has since been conducted of the riverbank and creek as well as the Namoi River, with the assistance of PolAir.

Nathan has a medical condition and his family and police continue to have serious concerns for his welfare.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180-185cm tall, of medium build and having dark hair. It is not known what he was wearing at the time.

As inquiries continue, officers from Oxley Police District are urging anyone with information about Nathan's whereabouts to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
