Police launch investigation into woman's death - Bondi Beach

An investigation has commenced following the death of a woman in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs today.

Just after 5am (Thursday 31 March 2022), emergency services were called to a unit on O'Brien Street, Bondi Beach, after reports a woman was found unresponsive.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the 38-year-old woman. She was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command established a crime scene, which has been forensically examined.

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.

A man, known to the woman, is currently speaking with investigators at Waverley Police Station.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
