Police Lay Charges After Fatal Crash In Truganina

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal crash in Truganina on Wednesday morning, 4 June.

Emergency services responded to reports that a car had crashed into an unoccupied parked vehicle on Dunmore Drive about 1am.

The passenger of the car, a 24-year-old St Albans woman, died at the scene.

The driver, a 23-year-old Caroline Springs man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was charged tonight with dangerous driving causing death and careless driving.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow, 7 June.
