Police lay charges after school bus rollover in Pentland Hills

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a truck driver following a collision with a school bus in Pentland Hills last year.

The collision occurred on the Western Highway, near the intersection of Condons Lane, causing the bus to roll down an embankment about 3.15am on 21 September.

One teenage girl was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The male truck driver was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The bus contained 27 students, four adults and the bus driver - all taken to hospital for observation.

A 60-year-old Croydon man has been charged with 46 offences including reckless conduct causing serious injury, dangerous driving causing serious injury and reckless conduct endangering life.

He will appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
