Police lay charges - Aggravated assault at Casuarina 5 July

Northern Territory Police have charged 3 males after an aggravated assault in Casuarina last month.

Around 1:40pm on 23 June 2023, the male victim allegedly verbally intervened in an altercation between a man and woman at a shopping centre on Trower Road, Casuarina.

Three males, aged 21, 30 and 49, allegedly chased and assaulted the victim, fracturing his eye socket.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident have been investigating the incident and on 3 July, arrested all 3 males at multiple residences across the northern suburbs.

All 3 were charged with aggravated assault and engaging in violent conduct.

All were remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court yesterday.
