Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery - Palmerston 17 May

Northern Territory Police have charged a woman in relation to an aggravated robbery in Palmerston on Sunday.

At around 4:30pm, a 21-year-old female entered a licensed premises on University Avenue and allegedly stole a quantity of alcohol before assaulting an employee and fleeing the scene.

Detectives from Serious Crime arrested her today, with further investigations identifying her in an unlawful entry at 3:30am the same day at a licenced premises on Trower Road in Casuarina.

She has since been charged with:

  • Aggravated Robbery
  • Criminal Damage
  • Unlawful Entry
  • Stealing

She was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 26 May 2022.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, "Investigations into these incidents are ongoing and were nothing but acts of senseless violence."
