Police lay charges - Assault - Ludmilla

Northern Territory Police have summonsed a 19-year-old male following an alleged assault at a Ludmilla business.

Around 10:50pm on Saturday 15 August, the male entered the business, removed a beverage from a fridge, and threw it at an employee. The employee was not injured.

The male then allegedly removed an edged weapon from his pants and hit glass windows and doors, causing approximately $10,000 worth of damage.

Police identified the male using forensic technology.

He will appear before Darwin Local Court at a later date to face charges of:

  • assault
  • possess/carry/use controlled weapon
  • stealing
  • damage to property.
