Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad have charged a 31-year-old man in relation to the assault of a 31-year-old woman on Vanderlin Drive, Malak, on Wednesday 5 August 2020.
The 31-year-old woman was assaulted by the man around 5:00pm. The man was later arrested by police with the assistance of the Dog Operations Unit after receiving information from members of the public who stopped to assist the woman.
He was charged with one count of acts intended to cause serious harm and was remanded to appear in the Darwin Local Court today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Jak Evans said, “The collaborative efforts of the police and community resulted in the quick arrest of the offender”.
