Police Lay Charges - Aubin Grove Incident

Fremantle Detectives have charged a 30-year-old man following an incident that occurred in Aubin Grove on Monday, 11 May 2026.

About 6.50pm, police will allege the man approached a group of people at a bus stop near Russell Road and behaved in an aggressive manner.

Police will further allege a bystander intervened, at which time the man produced a knife.

It will also be alleged the man turned his attention to a member of the group, grabbing him and attempting to strike him with the knife.

No injuries were reported.

The male allegedly fled the area on a bicycle, before being located and arrested by officers from Fremantle Detectives in Hammond Park on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

A 30-year-old male from Camillo has been charged with:

1x (Att) Unlawful Wounding

1x Being Armed in a Way That May Cause Fear

1x Common Assault

1x Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis)

He is due to appear before Fremantle Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 13 May 2026.
