Police lay charges over property offences in Darwin 16 September

Northern Territory Police have arrested a youth in relation to property offences around Darwin this month.

The 11-year-old male was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement in multiple incidents including aggravated robberies at businesses on Mitchell and Cavenagh streets on 3 September.

Police allege he assaulted an employee and stole from the same business on Mitchell Street on 5 September.

The youth was allegedly involved in a number of thefts from businesses in the northern suburbs between 10-14 September.

Strike Force Trident detectives have charged him with:

  • 2 x Robbery - aggravated
  • 3 x Aggravated assault
  • 5 x Stealing
  • 1 x Unlawful entry - Building
  • 2 x Trespass on premises
  • 1 x Possess controlled weapon

He was granted bail to appear before court on 20 September 2021.
