Police lay charges - Robbery in Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged two people in relation to a robbery in Darwin city in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The alleged offenders approached the 44-year-old female victim, stealing her handbag and assaulting her before they fled the scene.

On 2 March detectives arrested a 35-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man.

The woman was charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Possess stolen property

The man was charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Aggravated assault

Detective Sergeant Brett Cottier said "NT Police would like to thank members of the public and security staff for their assistance in making these arrests".

The pair was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
