Police lay charges - Serious harm in Alice Springs 26 June

Northern Territory Police have charged a 34-year-old man in relation to a domestic violence related assault at Hidden Valley Camp in Alice Springs last Friday.

At 11:55pm, police received reports the man had allegedly assaulted his partner with a blunt weapon. She received serious injuries and was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital by St John Ambulance.

Police arrested the man a short time later and he has since been charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and armed with an offensive weapon at night. He was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
