Northern Territory Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in relation to the serious assault of a 19-year-old woman and 3-month-old female in the Victoria Daly region.
Around 5:30pm on Tuesday 18 August 2020, the woman was holding the infant when both were assaulted by the man. The infant suffered serious injuries. The woman suffered pain and minor injuries. Both were medivacked to Darwin at 1:00am the next morning.
Police have charged the man with:
- 1 x unlawfully cause serious harm
- 1 x aggravated assault.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Katherine Local Court on Friday 21 August 2020.
