Police lay charges - Stealing at Casuarina 8 June

Northern Territory Police have charged a youth following an incident at a Casuarina supermarket last week.

Police allege the 16-year-old male stole a handbag from a shopping trolley while a woman was paying for her groceries on 4 June.

The victim's credit card was later used for several purchases.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the youth on 7 June and charged him with:

  • Stealing
  • Obtain benefit by deception

He has been remanded to appear on 9 June 2021.
