Police have charged a 68-year-old man over the alleged murder of a 74-year-old woman at a premises at Kawana in Rockhampton on July 16.
Detectives from the Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch, with assistance from the Homicide Investigation Unit, began investigating the death of the woman in a Withers Street premises.
A crime scene was established as detectives examined the circumstances surrounding her death.
A 68-year-old man from Kawana has been charged with murder and will remain in police custody until his appearance at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday July 24, 2023.
It will be alleged the pair were known to each other.
