Police lay murder charge at Kingston

A 54-year-old Beenleigh man has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a 48-year-old man at Kingston on May 15.

At approximately 7pm police were called to an Augustus Street address where the 48-year-old man was located with significant head injuries.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene, and a crime scene was declared.

Subsequent investigations led Logan detectives to arrest a 54-year-old Beenleigh man today.

He has been charged with one count of murder and is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday May 24).

Logan detectives continue to appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the incident to come forward.
