Police make arrest after Bunbury incident

Homicide Squad Detectives have charged a 29-year-old man with Grievous Bodily Harm after an incident that occurred in Bunbury on Saturday 15 May 2021.

It is alleged just after 10:30pm the man was involved in an altercation outside a licenced venue on Stephen Street. During the altercation both men fell to the ground before being separated by onlookers. During the incident one of the men received critical head injuries.

The 43-year-old man was conveyed to Bunbury Regional Hospital in a critical condition and is currently on life-support.

The 29-year-old man from Glen Iris is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court today, 17 May 2021.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the incident, or that saw the men prior to the incident. It is believed a number or people were outside the venue at the time.
