Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Assault - Palmerston 30 January

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a man over an aggravated assault that occurred in Palmerston on Thursday night.

Around 7:40pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a call alleging that a man had been pushed over at the Palmerston Bus Exchange.

It is alleged the man hit his head on the ground and became unresponsive.

He subsequently regained consciousness and was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in the ICU in a stable condition.

The incident was captured on CCTV and a 23-year-old man was located and arrested by police.

Investigations remain ongoing and police urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Police on 131 444 and quote reference number NTP2600009997 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au.
