Police make arrest - Aggravated assault in Darwin City 14 November

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 15-year-old male youth in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Darwin City on Friday.

Shortly before 2:00pm, police received a report that a 26-year-old woman and 16-year-old female had been threatened by the offender.

The pair attempted to flee when the 15-year-old allegedly dragged the female from the vehicle before both victims fled to a nearby unit for shelter.

The youth then forcefully gained entry into the premises before threatening the 16-year-old and leaving the scene with her.

Police located and arrested the youth on Saturday. He has since been charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of damage to property.

The youth was remanded to appear before court today.
