The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 40-year-old male in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Moulden this morning.
Around 12:30am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that two adult males had allegedly been assaulted with an edged weapon by a third male at a residence on Gumnut Way.
It is alleged the three males were involved in an altercation before the 40-year-old offender produced an edged weapon and struck one victim to the upper body and the second victim to the upper body before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Both victims suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Police and St John attended, and both victims were treated at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a serious but stable condition. A crime scene was established.
The 40-year-old male later attended the Palmerston Police Station where he was arrested without incident.
