Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Robbery In Darwin 4 April

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male in relation to an aggravated robbery in Darwin last night.

Just before 9:30pm, police were notified of a male that was walking along Daly Street had been assaulted by an unknown offender.

It is alleged that an 18-year-old male hit the victim to the back of the head, causing him to lose consciousness, before stealing items from the victim's pockets.

At 9:54pm, the same offender approached a 30-year-old male along Daly Street before hitting him to the back of the head when the victim refused to him money.

General duty members attended the incident and with the assistance from CCTV operators, police were able to locate the offender at a nearby residence, where he was subsequently arrested.

The 18-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Robbery
  • Aggravated robbery

He has been remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
