The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery in the Darwin CBD this morning.
Around 3:45am, police CCTV operators observed an 18-year-old female being allegedly assaulted by two adult females outside a licensed premises on Mitchell Street.
While the victim was on the ground, her hair was pulled and she was allegedly punched and kicked to the head.
During the assault, the offenders allegedly stole the victim's purse, phone and cash.
Police and St John Ambulance attended. The victim was treated and conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 19-year-old female offender was arrested while a 20-year-old female offender remains outstanding.
Strike Force Trident Detective Senior Sergeant Darren Burns said:
"This was a violent, unprovoked assault that has resulted in the victim remaining in hospital with considerable facial and neck injuries. Police would remind members of the public to immediately contact triple zero if you witness violent crime such as this."
