The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 14-year-old male in relation to recent suspicious structure fires in Galiwinku.
Around 4:50pm on Saturday 9 May, police received reports of smoke coming from a vacant council-owned residence near a recreation facility in Galiwinku.
The building was found fully engulfed in flames upon arrival, with attending police extinguishing the fire. No injuries were reported.
Around 12:30am yesterday morning, police received reports of a structure fire involving a government-owned premises in the community. The building, which was vacant at the time of the fire, was found engulfed in flames upon police arrival.
The fire self-extinguished and no injuries were reported to police.
Yesterday, following investigations, a 14-year-old male was arrested in Galiwinku in relation to the alleged offending of arson. He remains in police custody and is due to appear in court tomorrow.
